About this guide
The friends behind the guide
We are a group of friends brought together by a love of food and Chongqing. We live in Chongqing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hangzhou. Our day jobs include advertising design, freelance writing and network engineering. We also make zhangjiajie.guide, a travel guide for planning your own trip.
Practical planning for Zhangjiajie
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Tianmen Mountain, and the Grand Canyon glass bridge each require different planning. We help you pick between them, decide how many days you need, and choose where to stay. Our routes connect park entrances, shuttle buses, cable cars, elevators and walking paths through to the return journey. Hotel and dining picks focus on practical location, walkability, and real value.
How we check information
We start with practical travel questions. For tickets, transport, entry requirements and app payments, we check official visitor information and relevant local sources. Guides list their sources and check dates. Price examples help you plan a budget; “updated” marks our latest editorial review.
Photos and recommendations
Photos show the place or service described. We follow each source’s reuse terms and show credits where required. Recommendations give a useful reason to choose a place or service. We do not accept money or gifts for positive coverage. Commissions do not decide our topics or the order of recommendations.
Some booking links are affiliate links. If you book through them, we may receive a commission that supports the guide. Bookings take place with the linked provider. Send corrections through our contact page.
