JI Hotel: short walk to the cable car

JI Hotel Tianmen Mountain Ropeway Station (opened 2020) (全季酒店(张家界天门山索道站店)) sits in Building 4 of Nancheng Jinzuo on Yingbin Road (永定区迎宾路南城金座4栋). It is about a six-minute walk to the Route C shuttle, making it an easy base for an early morning departure. The 26 m² Superior Double has one queen bed and a mountain-view listing; a 26 m² twin room with two double beds is also available. Orange Hotel: more floor space

Orange Hotel Tianmen Mountain Ropeway Station (opened 2024) (桔子酒店(张家界天门山索道站)) is located in Tianmenju Building 2 (永定区官黎坪街道天门居2栋一楼). The 35 m² Superior Queen has one king bed and is non-smoking. East Gate hotels for the forest park

Ibis: modern base closest to the East Gate

Ibis Hotel Forest Park Entrance (宜必思酒店(张家界国家森林公园标志门店)) opened in 2026 in Buildings 4-5 of the Jiu Yuan Shi Jie complex (军地坪街道吴家峪社区九院十街4-5栋). It is a short, flat walk to Wulingyuan East Gate (Biaozhimen). The non-smoking Queen Room is 25 m², and the hotel provides 24-hour self-service washers and dryers. A standard Family room includes one double and one single bed, while the Comfy Family room uses a pull-out sofa bed. Choose Ibis for its gate proximity and lower price point, especially if you want to wash trail clothes between park days.

JI Hotel: comfortable alternative by the gate

JI Hotel Wulingyuan Biaozhimen (全季酒店(张家界国家森林公园武陵源标志门店)) opened in 2025 in Building 3 of the same Jiu Yuan Shi Jie commercial street (军地坪街道吴家峪社区九院十街3栋). The walk to the park gate takes just a few minutes. The non-smoking Superior Queen room measures 25-28 m² and has an exterior window. The hotel provides guest laundry machines and a dryer. A Deluxe Parent-child room offers one queen and one single bed. This is a reliable brand choice right by the entrance, with guest laundry and family room options. Practical booking advice

Basic workouts: The city JI and Orange hotels and the East Gate Ibis have small fitness areas focused on cardio. JI has treadmills and an exercise bike; Orange mainly has treadmills. Ibis has a treadmill and elliptical machine, available 24 hours. Home2 also has a weight bench and strength-training equipment.
